WARNING!! Don't let the price fool you! Combative Handgun Dynamics is a fast-paced 8- hour course focused on the practical application of a handgun for the modern law enforcement officer. This course is beyond basic marksmanship and emphasizes the skills needed to effectively utilize a handgun in a dynamic, fluid, and life-threatening situation. We start the day ensuring a good zero, weapon presentation, and reloading capability and then move into understanding the BSA (Balance Between Speed and Accuracy) using the D.O.P.E. drill. Progressing into tac-mag reloads, speed malfunctions, ready positions, positional shooting, movement, and use of barricades all before lunch.
The second half of the day? BRING OUT THE STEEL! Now we combine all the skills together by incorporating dynamic advanced drills that will test your ability to perform under stress. Students will be put through various complex, saturation, graduation, cognitive, and cardio drills with increasing difficulty by utilizing "Imposing Various Standards” (IVS) principles while adding some "Performance Integration" to the drill. This is not a free-for-all. Students will continue to receive coaching on technique, tactical application with environment, and marksmanship accountability.
Not everyone will perform the same. This is a TEAM training environment requiring ALL participants to encourage each other as you push your skills to the breaking point and improve your overall performance.
This is an ILEA (Indiana Law Enforcement Academy) accredited course and provides 8 hours of in-service training credit for law enforcement. Please bring your PSID number to class.
Combative Handgun Dynamics is designed for individuals who desire to elevate their defensive capabilities, violence of action, marksmanship accountability, and performance. This course requires the student to have an advanced understanding and proven behavior of safe firearms handling under stress.
