Chris "Dutch" Moyer, Sgt Major(Ret)

Dutch Moyer is a true warrior in every sense – but his most important mission is helping others save lives.  With a genuine interest in sharing knowledge, his secret is not just offering better training – but harder training – because “sweat in training saves lives in combat.”  This tremendously motivated warfare leader brings over 30 years of service in the United States Army – with over 25 of them in Special Operations Command – the über-elite military unit where he was a JSOC operator.

 

Dutch’s bravery, courage and extraordinary talents paved the way to receiving numerous honorary decorations – most distinguished being the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal (x5), Joint Service Commendation Medal with Valor Device, Army Commendation Medal with Valor Device, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (x2), Iraqi Campaign Medal with 4 Campaign Stars, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Arrowhead.  He also earned the Egyptian Parachutist Badge, German Parachutist Badge, Royal Thai Parachutist Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Ranger Tab, Parachutist Badge, Free Fall Parachutist Badge, Drivers Badge w/T designator, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, & Expert Infantryman’s Badge. 

 

Owner and operator of DCM Consulting LLC, Dutch is passionate in providing leadership and training to Military, First Responders, Corporations and Civilians alike – where coaching, teaching and mentorship are the cornerstones of his programs.   His most recent work experience with well-renowned companies and government agencies includes training in the U.S. Air Force STTS (Special Tactics Training Squadron) pipeline in Marksmanship and CQB (Close Quarter Battle), in addition to working with Department of State as an expert in mobile and static security, Kuwaiti MOI (Ministry of Interior) on numerous projects regarding marksmanship/CQB/K9, and KSA on an 8-week Operator/K9 Handler course.  Having worked with Diamondback Tactical Body Armor and Tactical Gear Company as lead Special Operations liaison and design chief, he is also a team member to the exclusive Shaffer Security Group.

 

Dutch’s military expertise reflects planning & conducting small unit tactics in support of Unconventional Warfare, Special Reconnaissance, and Foreign Internal Defense & Direct Action missions.  Having participated in over 1,000 successful combat assaults (classified & unclassified missions) in Afghanistan and Iraq, he also trained and participated in training Task Force partners (FBI HRT/Ranger Regiment/SAS/SASR/KSK/FSK/JTF2/U.S. Border Patrol) to include indigenous forces of Columbia, Thailand, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait and the KSA.  He also trained Domestic, Federal LE, United Kingdom, Australian, Canadian, New Zealander, German and Norwegian K9 Forces.  Among his titles and positions held – the most notable include Operations Sergeant Major / Task Force Liaison Officer / Team Leader /K9 Handler / Operator Team Member, Infantryman / Team Leader / Squad Leader / Platoon Sergeant, and K9 Program Manager USSOCOM.
