BASIC SWAT SCHOOL

The ISOA is proud to be putting on a Basic SWAT School taught by SWAT Officers currently serving on teams in Indiana.

This course will be held in Vincennes, Indiana and is hosted by the Knox County Sheriff's Office.
​
Students will benefit from this comprehensive introduction to tactical skills. Students will be introduced to basic tactics and techniques including team organization and structure, resolution of barricaded suspect situations, covert individual and team movement, searches and room clearing, chemical agents, less-lethal options, warrant service and multiple field training exercises. This is a hands-on, high-intensity course in which students practice tactics and techniques in the field. You must be an active duty Law Enforcement Officer to enroll in this course.​
This course is a 40 hour block of training and cover the following and much more:
Team Organization
Warrant Service
Basic CQB Tactics
Arrest Team Tactics
Vehicle Assaults
Ops Planning
Tac Medicine
Less Lethal Options

Required Gear list:
100 Sim/UTM Rifle rounds
100 Sim/UTM Pistol rounds
Sim Rifle and Pistol
All callout armor(Vest, helmet, etc)
Med kit if you have one
Any less lethal launcher that you have
Any breaching tools you have
Ear Pro
Eye Pro
Gloves

We will have a limited number of sim pistols and simunition rifle bolts for use by students who do not have their own. Please email us if you will need one. We will also have a limited number of ammo on hand for this course if anyone can absolutely not provide their own. Again, reach out to us if you are in this situation.
